I have been playing since beta and love it. They have added a world event this month. For people that don't join guilds rift is a great, because you have access to raids by joining a public group without an invite.
They have add better security with a coin lock. Even if your account gets stolen the support you recive is way better then WoW, you are not held responsable like WoW does. When my account was stolen last year with WoW it took me 6 months to get access again. With rift a guild mate had his stolen before the coinlock started and recived his account back in 5 hours and was refunded all gear.
