You have no idea what are you missing out on if you didn...t try shadow.
I have only pvp blues on my priest and only healer gear (spirit mostly) so
my hit is insane cause spirit = hit in shadow but no crit.
the rotation on a 80k+ mob is mind spike x3, instant mind blast crit
(talents make it instant after 2 mind spikes) then 1 mind spike and 2x
instant shadow word death = dead mob and 100% mana. 7 casts x 1,5 sec each
(or instants got global CD) = 10,5 sec ( a little less cause of the haste
from talents and a bit from gear) to kill 1 mob and doing it without
spending mana.
I wonder how much time do you take with disc and how much mana do you spend
doing it and healing too since the mob beats on you a lot.
