I loved questing as Holy on my Paladin in Wrath - round up mobs,
Consecrate them down, end fights at 100% health and mana. What's weird
is that even with the changes (huge cooldown on Consecrate now, etc.),
I still could quest just fine as Holy in Cata, still ending fights at
full life and mana.
I would brush up on your second spec, however - the difference at 85
is marked. For example, I'm a melee class. My melee healing mace does
1-191 damage. Most level 85 mobs have around 80,000 health. To fight,
I can Crusader Strike, which at level 85 hits for something like 500,
Holy Shock every six seconds, and spam Exorcism. As a fresh 85, I had
around 80,000 mana. Exorcism hits for 4,000 damage and costs 7,000
mana. So, let's say I used my entire mana bar on Exorcism. 80,000 /
7,000 = 11.42 times I can cast Exorcism before OOMing. 11.42 X 4,000
damage = 45,714 damage done. Average level 85 mob = 80,000 health -
45,714 = 34,286 more life I have to go auto-attacking with a 1-191 DPS
healing mace.
I would definitely consider that second spec. :-)
