Re: [World_of_Warcraft_List] PRIMITIVE FOLKART MEDIEVAL HANDMDE WINGD UNICORN SHIELD - eBay (item 230365202744 end time Sep-06-09 20:45:15 PDT)

a few years ago we went to a renaissance fair and some fellow there was selling childrens toys he had made, swords and shields. We bought both boys a set. That shield looks like the same quality, just a fun toy for someone and by no means antique OR 500 worth of
craftsmanship

Here is my shield and arms registered in England below: http://lionsgoblet.com/SCA/ALASTAIR/MYSHIELD.GIF

Notice the similarities in how the shields are put together...yeah it's an SCA shield

it's definitely handmade but it sure isn't worth five hundred dollars. It's junk.

It's baaaaaaack!! and ONLY US $550.00!!!  The HERALDRY is Fantastic!!

According to the ubiquitous seller this is "primitive folk art" so if any of you know of a group that fights with "primitive folk art" then this deal is for YOU!  The shield is "winged" too!  WOW!!!

It also is very enticing because it has "SOME TYPE OF RUBBER TIED AROUND THE WOOD SHIELD WITH ROPE."  I wonder how the "primitives" figured this out?? Tire trees?

"THIS WAS PURCHASED AT A PENNSYLVANIA ANTIQUE MARKET.  I'M NOT LISTING IT AS AN ANTIQUE, BUT MERELY STATING WHERE IT WAS PURCHASED FROM." ROFLMAO!!!

Around Pennsylvania?  Hmmmmm Maybe it was brought over by these 'dudes'?  http://explorepahistory.com/images/ExplorePAHistory-a0a7t1-a_349.jpg
