Zygor Alliance & Horde World of Warcraft Leveling & Dailies Guides Review

Yes Zygor Guide! I use this ALL the time. One of my good buddies introduced me too it , and i can say that it makes leveling in this game, effin easy!

First, installing the guide is super easy with the installer program. Once you login to play , getting started is just as simple. Now I have personally used this addon to level a Dranei Warrior to level 60 and a Dranei Priest to level 70. Man I really could have used this a while back when i was trying to level up my Night Elf Druid.

It's gotta a new waypoint feature, which ultimately makes Zygor the best choice when it comes to leveling the best leveling addon you can get. If you were like me when WoW first came out , we had to Alt+Tab in and out of the game to look at websites to figure out a quest. Guess what ? With Zygor no more of that BS! The waypoint system literally takes you right to your objectives and back to the quest giver so you dont waste anymore time. Honestly this is one of the best features of the addon, especially if your a n00b! You wont get lost in an unfamiliar world, you'll also find that you complete your quests a lot faster . Zygor groups stuff intelligently, and you end up with some good faction scores to boot

levelingbanner1

Also the Zygor guide has a talent advisor, So if your completely clueless on where to put your points as you level, Zygor can show you where to add them .

Seriously Zygor kicks ASS, most people that I've chatted with loves it and ends up leveling up faster then you can say WoW , and if history repeats itself like I KNOW IT WILL, You'll love it and level up faster as well, Sincerely this Guide is absolutely amazing ..Like I was saying you can get this by click here or the link below!

[World_of_Warcraft_List] World of Warcraft List Group Guidelines and Philosophy

This is a list for World of Warcraft players and just general folk focusing on but not limited to World of Warcraft gaming and general "Gee-Whiz" information (not to mention sometimes humor) about World of Warcraft

This list and was created for no other reason than solely as a labor-of-love on my part and has no 'agenda' other than education and entertainment. Please keep in mind that you may find it very quiet here at times *but* do not let that fool ya as this is often followed by an explosive fury of frenetic posting activity! If at this time we get too busy for you we can show you how to switch to either 'digest' version or to change your settings to only view the posts directly from this site. :)

Expect eclectic and mature chat dialog as we have some pretty knowledgeable folk here with some very **real** World of Warcraft backgrounds!

On topic website link contributions to both the list and *especially* to our 'links' section are welcomed and greatly encouraged!

Please also understand that web links selling World of Warcraft items and sundry are not considered *spam* here but are on topic as resources and are often trivial (and amusing) information in and of themselves if they are not reposted excessively.

We ask that any "controversial" debate topics (usually religion, modern day politics and a few other items not universally accepted as polite discussion topics at many supper tables) and that appear to be unduly *dominating* this forum be taken privately at the pleasure of those involved when politely asked to do so by the moderator(s) and others please. Also please please please do not complain about a duplicate post on this list unless it is done excessively.

My personal "philosophy" of a list...

While we ALL have "freedom of speech" in this country it does not mean freedom from consequences.  As everyone knows you cannot yell "fire" in a crowded theatre without probably being fined or even possibly apprehended if there is in fact NO fire...

My take on "SPAM"

My take on SPAM and messages is this:  I usually just ignore the spam/message and delete it and remove the spambot if it is one and it managed to sneak through.  The thing I try to discourage on my lists the most is the "SPAM Complainers".  This means often you will get just ONE little spam message that will be followed by sometimes as many as 15 legitimate members b*tching about it.  What's worse I ask??  Grist for the mill...

In conclusion:

A list is like a 'living room' meaning that even if occasionally I have several folk  with a penchant for saying "me too" and others having fun laughing and joking concerning this or that topic I do not often stand up tell them that they should not do that because they are obviously enjoying the good fellowship of each others' company in the room.  Making a 'joyful noise' as it were as the Lady Aubrey often puts it. If you think of this list as pretty much a 'happy family' as lists go then it will make sense and in the words of Bill Cosby "If you are not very careful you just might learn something"...I hope.  :)

[World_of_Warcraft_List] Re: Warlock - Destro Spec

In your talent tree, there are multiple levels to put talent points in and by putting a certain amount of points in each level, it unlocks the next level to put more talent points in. I termed these levels 'tiers'. So for instance, if you look at the destro talent tree, you will see that the first tier consists of the talents - Bane, Shadow and Flame and Improved Immolate. So for each level or 'tier' I list off which talents to put points in to get the best out of your spec. You will still have points when you are done however, so I mention what other talents are attractive to use the rest of your talent points up (in other talent trees as well).

Gear tiers are different. There are tiers of gear levels (1-10) that are purchasable with certain types of in-game currency (like justice points). The gear does have a major impact on the efficiency and power of your spells, but is not crucial to have to play dungeons - you can do fine in blue gear you get from quests.

As far as increasing your DPS, the main thing is to practice your rotation. Whether you want to beat on the training dummies in the capital cities or just practice on mobs as you level, make sure you get that rotation down. Also, make sure you always have your DoTs up. Immolate and corruption should be on the target all the time. Also make sure the 'improved soul fire' buff is up all the time. As soon as you see the icon disappear, cast soul fire again to keep it up.

Hope this helps :)

Re: [World_of_Warcraft_List] Warlock - Destro Spec

Thank you mucho my friend!  Very well put

Shane aka Alastyr(Gnarly)

Hey Shane, here's that blurb I mentioned in-game. Hope it helps!

A quick overview of the Destruction spec.

- Talents:
Must haves - Tier 1: Bane, Shadow and Flame, Improved Immolate. Tier 2: Improved Soul Fire, Emberstorm Tier 3: Aftermath, Backdraft Tier 4: Burning Embers, Soul Leech, Tier 5: Fire and Brimstone, Tier 6: Empowered Imp, Bane of Havoc Tier 7: Chaos Bolt. The other talents are of personal preference (see below).

For the rest of your points, Improved Corruption, Improved Life Tap and Doom and Gloom in the Affliction tree are all nice ways to up your dps and get more out of your Life Tap. Dark Arts and Demonic Embrace out of the Demonology tree are okay, but once you get into tier 11 gear, the points in Dark Arts are wasted as the amount of haste we will have will cap the speed of our imp's firebolt anyway. Demonic Embrace is a nice way to up your mana pool as well seeing as more hp = more mana through Life Tap. Just remember to drain life after tapping so you don't piss off/freak out your healer.

Now to get to the 6th tier, you can take either Shadowburn, Shadowfury, Backlash or Nether Ward. If you are raiding, you shouldn't be getting hit very often, so I would suggest Shadowfury as #1 and Shadowburn as #2 choice here. Shadow burn is nice to get back shards quickly, but Shadowfury is a lovely CC talent. To get to the 7th tier, I would suggest picking up Shadowburn and Nether Ward for a quick shield for those cases in which you weren't watching the threat meter.

- Always use the imp, he provides a nice health buff for the raid and with the empowered imp talent, he helps you proc instant soulfires.

- Rotation is tricky, there's not really a set rotation for any warlock spec, it's more an order of importance... For destro:
Cast Soulfire 1st to get the haste bonus (from improved soul fire), then start with bane of doom, immolate, corruption, conflagrate, chaos bolt and incinerate spam... that's the easy part. Next, just watch for your DoTs to fall off, when they have about 1-2 seconds left on them, recast immolate and corruption. Wait for bane of doom to fall off completely before recasting, and cast Chaos Bolt whenever it's off cooldown. On boss fights, cast your doomguard (for solo damage, Infernal for AoE) whenever it works best (usually during a burn phase). Whenever you proc the instant soulfire (the huge fiery brackets around your toon), cast it immediately. Use the soulburn+soulfire combo early in the fight (after your improved soulfire buff wears off unless you procced an instant soulfire and renewed the buff, then you would use it for the first time after refreshing your DoTs) and then again when soulburn is off of cooldown.

It's quite a lot to keep on top of, and takes practice to keep an eye on Immolate and Corruption to refresh them just before they drop off. I suggest using a DoT timer... I have a warlock addon called Necrosis ( http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/necrosis-ld-c.aspx) it's in a beta version for Cataclysm, but works ok. It has a DoT timer with it that works for me.

- Glyphs: Prime - Glyph of Immolate, Glyph of Conflagrate and Glyph of Incinerate. Major - personal preference, I like Life Tap, Healthstone and Soulstone here, Minor - again personal preference, I have Unending Breath, Drain Soul and Ritual of Souls.

- As far as looking for stats for gear/gems/enchants once we're up to raiding at level 85, look for hit first, then intellect, then Destro's best attribute to stack is Haste if you can reach the soft caps (852, 1406 or 2030) if you can't reach one of those caps with haste, then the next best attribute is mastery, crit is really more important for Demo than Destro, so avoid gemming or enchanting for crit.

- If you're into PVP, Destro is pretty fun in the BGs also. I always use the Voidwalker as he has the Sacrifice spell to give you a shield, but the Felhound and Succubus are good for CC as well. One of the best spells in your arsenal as destro for PVP is Shadowfury, use it frequently. This spell is also nice in raids for instances when you need to stun something (the blood beasts for the Deathbringer Saurfang fight in ICC for example).

Have fun melting faces!

[World_of_Warcraft_List] About DPS meters :) I like this guy's thoughts heehee

especially:

Now, before you tune out completely and start sharpening the pitchforks, let me clarify. I understand and appreciate the positive uses for damage meters. I have Recount installed on all my characters and use it liberally. Here are the things damage meters are good for:
  1. Monitoring your own DPS.
  2. Using the meter to help you when tweaking specs, gear setups, or testing spell rotations.
  3. In raids.
Here are things damage meters should not be used for:
  1. Linking in party chat during a random PUG, without being asked to do so.
  2. Determining who's a good DPS and who isn't.
  3. Justifying a vote-kick.
I almost feel like I could distill this entire column down into one sentence: don't be a douche.

Seriously, that's pretty much how I feel about the topic. In my opinion, society (and by extension, WoW) is made up of two kinds of people: those who are jerkwads and those who aren't. The people who spam damage meters after every pull to point out that A.) they are awesome and B.) you are not -- those are jerkwads. I can't think of a single good reason for this behavior. It's counterproductive, it's mean, and it's stupid.
